Congratulations to our History of Health Sciences PhD candidate Shinyi Hsieh for receiving the Harvard Fairbank Center 2023-24 Hou Family Postdoctoral Fellowship in Taiwan Studies! Shinyi’s research goals includes producing and mobilizing knowledge as the basis for further health reform in Asian countries. By examining the historical trajectory of the growing commercialization in healthcare, Shinyi is eager to make the public more aware of commercialized medicine, which can emphasize profits over patients. This post-doc fellowship will allow Shinyi to continue her research to bring fresh East Asian perspectives to countries across the world!
